The sentiment ‘Home Sweet Home’ conjures visions of the saying done in cross-stitch artwork hanging on the wall. Home ownership is a measure of ones success, pride, and security. That sweet dream is now more difficult to achieve than ever, and a dream that many may never obtain, and a dream that has been taken away.

God made me do it! 

It is easy to give blame or give credit for our successes or failures and for disasters or rescues to something that is ‘beyond’ humans. But doesn’t that ultimately diminish ourselves? Or let us ‘off the hook’ to being responsible?

Statement:

Continually shifting paradigms - (thru the manipulation of
text and context), Anderson's visual hybrid “Distilled Truths“
combines video and neon signage creating a kinetic billboard
which invites the viewer to revisit their own preconceived notions,
ideas and attitudes about cultural, political and religious stereotypes.
